Looking through this forum, I cannot find an explanation.
Strong password. Snipe was set I'd say 10-20 minutes before the end of auction. (And was activated).
I bought from this seller before and am not banned by him/her.
Seller is located in the same country, so no intl. issues.
Item ID is 180371648137, my username p.-r
My snipe was higher than the winning bid.
Yet "my status" says that my bid was too low.
As mentioned, this happened for the first time.
Any ideas ?? What am I missing ?

You did not win due to low bid and eBay's bid increment system.
Your bid should be at least 4.65 + 0.50 = 5.15.

Oh boy. Thanks so much for clarifying this. I had not been aware of those large increments and the difference between the countries. Sorry for troubling you with this. I feel bad because this info is in the FAQ. Thanks again for your time.

I had the same problem about sniping.
I set the sniping price at US$53.
The auction ended at US$34.
The winner shoud be me but not.
I check the status on myibay and no sniping on this auction.
Why ?

No int'l issue, I have 100% feedback, not banned. Similar thing happened on one other item as well.

In order to win you have to meet eBay's and seller's requirements also.

Please check "My Status" field (located on your Snipe page) for this item to see the reason.
If you want me to look, I really need to know the item number as I can't check without this information.
