It would be handy to have the Snipe it button on lists next to Watch this item as well as on individual listings.

"Snipe it" button is on individual listings already if you use Firefox or Google Chrome browser.

You have to install Firefox add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5571

or Google Chrome extension for it:

Thanks, Sashka, but I already have Chrome extension with buttons individually and at top of lists (which are very useful).

The "Snipe it" button is on the listing page (right under the seller's info). Is that what you are referring to?

I've just tried the Snipe these button, which seems to fit the bill. Sorry.

Items in search list (the "snipe these" button) is updated in the latest Google Chrome extension 1.0.9. Please make sure yours is updated:
Extensions - Update extensions now.

Luckily I'm on v1.0.9 because there's no Update extensions now in Chrome - must be Firefox.
But there is Secbrowsing - plugin version checker extension, which I installed yesterday and may even work.
(By the way, myibay won me something at £1.20 today which pleased me no end, but probably upset the person who'd been sitting on a 99p bid for days.)

You are right. "Update extensions now" is available when you enable "Developer mode" only.
Anyway, 1.0.9 is the latest so you should not worry about it.

Right, I tried that, clicked on Update extensions now but nothing much happened, perhaps because I'm on beta channel, not dev.

I think that's because you are on the latest version of the extension so there is nothing to update in this case.
