I tried my first snipe since moving from Auction Sentry and no snipe was made. The item was no. 150434278353 from UK ebay with a time set for 120 secs. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

You are right, you activated your snipe about 2-3 seconds before it should fire. You have to give at least 3 minutes for the snipe to prepare:
