Placed a snipe with a 3 sec window. Got a notification from Ebay that I was high bidder via myibay and via email. But I did not win the auction?? My Snipe was higher than the winning bid.

In case you are wondering...the auction ended with a rather peculiar userid that I did not recognize the first and last letters between the asterisks (I think it started with an 'a'). I thought it must have been someone else. (I don't bid too often so I don't know what my anonymized id looks like).
It wasn't until after I posted the 'missed snipe' message here that the ebay congrats emails came to my email box (your email notification came to my inbox almost instantly after the auction closed...the ebay emails didn't come instantly for some reason). My bad.
