I recently installed the free windows version on my new computer and it seemed to have worked fine to begin with. Now suddenly the snipe button is not showing up on any actions. What could be preventing it.

Thanks in advance.

If you mean "Snipe it" button in your Firefox browser, you should install Firefox add-on for it:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5571/

or Google Chrome extension if you use Chrome:

I am sorry I did not make myself clear. I am NOT a new user, I only have a new computer and the very first thing I did was to install the software in firefox and it worked fine, but today it is not showing the button within the auction to be able to snipe it.

I have since then installed the Chrome version on to the chrome browser of course and it also does not show the button to be able to snipe.

Also, I have gone to a completely different computer and installed the firefox version and it does not show the snipe it button in the auctions from that computer either.

Thanks for additional information.
Please e-mail the link where you don't see this button so I can check and update.

I really am not sure how I am supposed to do that because without you being signed into my ebay account you could not be seeing what I am seeing.

It is EVERY auction on ebay. There is no way for me to snipe any auction because there is not a snipe button to do it with.

I have tried it from 2 different computers and 2 different browsers. It is as if I do not have the software installed. I honestly don't know what else I can say to get you to be able to understand.

Under normal circumstances, you go to any auction on ebay, and there is a button to click to be able to snipe the auction, but it disappeared today.

Please see the attached pic.

[attached picture]

The button to be able to snipe the auction is not there, however the software has been installed and it is turned on, I have rebooted both of the browsers and the entire computer multiple times.

That's why I asked for the link :-)

Anyway, I think I found it and fixed that. I updated the add-on on mozilla.org website, but it will take some time for them to approve it.

You can access any version by following this link:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5571/versions/
The version which has a fix is 1.1.8.

This may be something that will correct itself once they have approved the download, but here is the error it is giving.

Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/downloads/file/95941/myibay_firefox_extension-1.1.8-fx.xpi?src=version-history&confirmed=1

because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)

I guess we have to wait a little for the update to propagate to all mozilla servers.
Usually should take about 10 minutes, depending on how their servers busy.
