We are in the process of transition our name to Myibidder.

The name change will be done to avoid a possible confusion with eBay trademarks (Myibay/Mybidder service is not a subsidiary of eBay, Inc.), and to comply with trademark rules.

You do not need to do anything on your side except updating your bookmarks if you have any.

The transition process will take some time so please hold your breath.
We are sorry for the possible hassle in advance, but we will do everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible.

It does not affect your snipes.

Firefox Addon - Bad Certificate after renaming! Mon Mar 07, 2011 03:08 PM Quote

Hello,

I'm using the Firefox addon "myibay".

Since the renaming of myibay.com to mybidder.com I get an error message on ebay at every ebay article page I visit.

In German:
www.myibay.com:443 verwendet ungültiges Sicherheitszertifikat
Das Zertifikat gilt nur für folgende Namen:
www.mybidder.com, mybidder.com
(error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

How can I (or you) fix it?
Thank you in advance for a quick reply.

Hi,
I'm getting this error too. Apparently there is no secure certificate for the new name. Can you give us a status on fixing this??

Everything is updated on the server's side. I guess your ISP is a little slow on updating new address.

The IP address of www.myibay.com should end with 136. If it ends with 135, then your ISP need some more time to proceed with the update.

This process can take up to 24 hours. I see it's completed on major ISPs (idt, verizon, etc), but smaller ones may take awhile.

FYI,
I just forced the updated of IP addresses globally again. Hopefully, that will speed up things for you.
