Hi,
I am a long time user of Myibay, but new to this forum, so please forgive me if this has been asked and answer before...
my question is this: if I want to place a bid on an item that is offered in ebay.co.uk, do I have to set ebay country in options->settings to "United Kingdom"? What is the effect of leaving it as "United States" and setting the program to place a bid on an ebay.uk item?
Thank you,
Winnie

You have two options in your Profile section:
My Country field is for changing a default landing page to your country when clicking on auction's link. It does not affect sniping.
My Snipe Target field is for changing a default target site to use to for sniping (i.e where your snipe will be placed). When not sure, leave it to "Auto"
To summarize:
If you need to place your snipes on eBay UK, you just need to set eBay UK in "My Snipe Target".

Thank you, Sashka, for your prompt answer, but I'm afraid we are not talking about the same program:
I am using myibay version 1.0.43 build 498.
There is no profile section, and as a result there are no "My Country" and "My Snipe Target" fields. There is no "My status" field as well.
As I wrote, my question refers to the field "eBay Country" in options->settings->General tab.
Thank you,
Winnie

Thanks again, Sashka, for a prompt answer and I apologize for misplacing my query.
Still, I'm not sure that I understand what I have to do in order to bid on a UK item: Is it necessary to visit myibidder?
Can I use the windows application to place a bid on a UK item without visiting myibidder site? are the bidding settings for a US item the same as for a UK item? (again, I'm reffering to the windows application only).

So, what do I do if I want to bid on 2 auctions, one is a US auction and the other is a UK auction?

This setting is global so you'll have to either change it after one snipe is done, or snipe it under a different account.
