MY TIME countdown reverts to 6 seconds | Tue Nov 15, 2011 04:15 AM
|
|
Hello,
Lately when I set my bids I put in my preferred seconds and when I hit enter and/or click on apply it reverts to 6 seconds.
My personal settings are set lower than 6 seconds and I manually choose 4 seconds. This has worked for me for about a year. Now I can only seem to do it from 'the ebay page' and not from myibay.
Can you tell me whats up with this?
Thank you
Susan

I just tried to set 4 seconds on your account and it worked with no problems.
Can you please provide me step by step how you do it so I could replicate it?

Certainly,
https://www.myibidder.com/main/show
item row / click SNIPE button
enable ACTIVATE
set dollar amount
set time
click change
accepts time...
flips to main ibay list
click on that item'sSNIPE button
and it shows 6 seconds.
(just did that twice)
Currently my snipe time is set much lower in my profile prefs.
Other;
Go to the ebay item page itself
Click on SNIPE icon/button
set everything time $ etc.
when you click ADD it shows up as exactly what you set it. but when you go back and check later.. its set to 6 seconds again ( not what I set it to)
I haven't had any acutions recently since this started happeneing so I do not know if t hey are going through at what I set it (time) or if its going through at 6 seconds.
Thank you for looking into this.
Susan

In your step by step instructions I don't see the values you put it. Also, you don't need to do it twice.
What was the item number you tried? What did you put for other fields?
Also, I don't see where you mentioned that you added a new item. The profile settings affects newly added items only.
I just tried to add a new item using a shortcut on the top of the "Buy" page, it worked fine (I see 1 second).
I tried to another new item using "Snipe it" add-on, it showed 1 second too.

Sorry I didnt get back to y ou sooner. I moved. | Sun Nov 27, 2011 06:03 AM

I have been moving and it was very hectic. Somehow I didnt see the usual email notification from this thread. I apologize.
I did not DO IT TWICE, I was just showing you I tried it two different ways.
Though the problem now seems to be intermittent, the bids start when they are supposed to, even though if I check on the snipe (by going to my main list and clicking on snipe button on a particular item) it says 6 seconds.
I didnt want to put my specifics.. times I use etc in a public post. ( Call me superstitious) That is why I m omitted my personal time preferences for count down to snipe.
Though it displays 6 seconds when I check on it, it is obviously working fine so I will leave you alone.
THANK YOU for your time and your concern and help.
Most Sincerely Susan

The thing is that I have to be able to replicate the issue in order to see it and fix it if there is one.
If you don't give me the specifics, I will not be able to replicate it. Unfortunately, I can't fix something when I don't know what to fix.
Please feel free to post your specifics through support directly, this way it will not be shared on the public forum.
