Mac version doesn't work when offline? Thu Nov 15, 2012 07:05 PM Quote

Noticed interesting problem with Mac version. I have lost 3 must to get auctions with this software. I always set 6 seconds time for sniping, triple checked that it is activated and then set computer to sleep state. I lost all three auctions even I had 50 GBP higher bids than others had.

By some reason bidding works reliably with Windows version but not with Mac.

Having the app running on Mac does not make any difference.
You did not include the item numbers in question so I can't tell you for sure what happened.
What did you see when you checked "My Status" field of those snipes?

My Status for both items: Refused login (Password problem?)
Item numbers: 160921107069 and 160921107091

Login works ok to the application so how it is possible that password is lost?

Those text fields like item id should be selectable as they are now read only and user has to copy text manually.

finaki,
As you probably aware, you recently changed your eBay password but never logged in with the current password to Myibidder.
I don't know how you checked it, but currently the password in the system does not match your actual password.
The sniper can't snipe without having your current password.

You should always login with your current password to the sniper in order to keep it in sync.

Logout from eBay and login again. Make sure you type your password so you can confirm your password. Then login to Myibidder using the same password exactly as you typed it.

Thank you. Indeed - this was the root reason but didn't noticed this. This was my bad.

Still thinking why myIbay passed application login with old password.

The only way to detect that you changed your password is when sniping is started.
It simply did not know you changed your password so it let you login with your old password.
