Won a bid using Myibay. Worked like a charm! He He
But then Ebay emails me stating:

"You're currently the high bidder!

Hi diligentinquirer****..,

So far, so good! Your bid has been confirmed, and you are the highest bidder. It's almost yours, but you could still be outbid. You can improve your chances of winning by increasing your bid.

I was the Highest bidder "but you could still be outbid"?

Whats up with this? I won but didn't win?

If you check eBay's email, it did not say you won it yet. The listing is not ended, that's why eBay said you could be outbid.

Being a highest bidder on a running auction does not mean you won it. Someone else can still place a bid until the auction ended.

If there is a full & complete written explanation of this. please provide the url, etc. .

Winning a bid, is not ending a listing. OK, but so what?

How can Someone else "still place a bid until the auction ended" I thought the idea of this Myibay service was to make the bid at the last moment before the bidding ends in order to win the bidding process.

A more complete picture of what is occurring after the highest bid is made on the bid site would be helpful.

My final OP question was/is:

"I was the Highest bidder "but you could still be outbid"?

Whats up with this?

How, is the question.

A winning bidder at the usual auctions I know of, simply make that offer and acceptance purchase.

Thanks, Diligent

I'm not sure what kind of information you need. How eBay works in general? If so, you can find it on eBay website. I think you can start here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/basics.html

No.
Myibidder places a bid on last seconds. But even if the bid is placed 1 second before auction ends, there is still time to accept bids from others.
Once auction finished, then you can't place any bids.
At the end the highest bidder wins.

Please start reading using the link I provided above. Seems like you just need general information on how eBay works.

eBay is not a usual style auction. It has fixed running time and it accepts all bids until the time is out.
