Hi - I just set up my first snipe for eBay and I'm wondering if it will happen if my computer is on stand-by or in hibernation. It's a laptop so it goes into stand-by quite frequently.

Once you set your snipe, you don't need to keep your computer working and online for the snipe to actually work.
This way you can save on electrical bill as well

In general, laptops don't like to be 24/7 due to hardware limitations, so it's good that you put it in stand-by or hibernate.
