Sometimes eBay adds captcha verification to account with recent changes like new password.
It's usually removed after a day or so. Please try again later.

It has been 12 hours since I changed it and I only changed it because myibidder wouldn't accept my original password. I don't even know why I was asked to login in the first place because I never log out.

How long should I wait?

eBay usually removes it after a day, that's like 24 hours at least.

You've been asked to re-login probably because eBay refused your login due to old password.

I wasn't asked to login due to old password because at the time I hadn't changed my password. As per above I only changed the password *after* I was asked to login in to myibidder and it wouldn't accept the login information. I changed the password purely so that I would know for sure that what I was typing into myibidder was correct.

My concern is without knowing why it didn't accept my login information to begin with I could wait another 12 hours and be in the same situation.

thanks for trying to help.

eBay refused your login. Whatever the reason is (wrong password, some glitch on their side, heavy load, etc) the sniper asks you to relogin.
eBay does not provide the exact reason for your login being refused.

You need to wait at least 24 hours without trying to relogin. eBay may or may not start counting again if you try to login earlier.
Unfortunately, it's not under sniper's control.

I'm having the same issues as Jasper. First it was

eBay requires verification code

then it went to

Your account needs extra confirmation by eBay

then to:

Refused login (password problem?)

and now it's back to:
Your account needs extra confirmation by eBay

Doesn't make any sense to me, I haven't changed anything, like Jasper. The same thing happended to me a couple of weeks ago.

There was an issue on eBay's side recently. Many accounts got captcha verification.
Fortunately, eBay quickly resolved it and it's back to normal as of now.
I'm sorry for the affected snipes.

Still having the same issue. Adding to that I couldn't login to Myibidder with my password through either Firefox or the stand-alone. Then tried it on IE, that worked, and after that Firefox and Stand Alone as well. But password is still being refused.

I updated my eBay password last night. Unfortunately, when I use this new password as my Myibidder credentials I get: "Error while trying to login. Wrong eBay user id or password" I have double checked by using the same credentials in eBay using a different browser and can login to eBay fine.

As I mentioned above, eBay may added captcha to your login.
You have to wait at least 24 hours for it to be cleared.

Some 3 hours ago it started working again. Half an hour ago the problem returned.
The captcha-thing stayed on for longer than 24 hours, more like 40 hours. It doesn't ask me when I place a bit on the Ebay-website.

30 minutes later: it works fine again.

Unfortunately, I have no control over it.
In some rare situations it may take longer, sometimes it's shorter.
I guess the recent outage made some impact on it.

In any case, it looks fine now. You can check it by trying to access your Watch List. If the sniper reported some items, that means your login was accepted by eBay.

As mentioned in the responses above, you have to use your current eBay login information to login.
If you still can't, please contact support directly and provide your eBay user id.
