I accidentally deleted my program...At least I couldn't find it. I went to the web site and down loaded it again, and now every time I try to open it, it sends be to the exe. file in my C drive, for details. I have a backup copy on my thumb dive, but it doesn't work now either

I'm not sure what you mean. If you can't use the .exe installation, what exactly you are looking for?
Please clarify.

Non working program Mon Jun 20, 2016 01:08 AM Quote

I'll try to clarify...
After I lost the program I have been using for several years, I went to the web site to down load the program. After down loading it, and installing it, all it would do when I clicked on it, it tells me to go to my C drive and look up a certain line for more details. I went to my C drive and went to the place where myibay was sitting, but that line was not there. I was thinking about uninstalling what I have and do a new install. All of this started when I did a back-up today.

Thank you for clarifications.
You did not provide the exact error message, but I assume it referred to the log file. It probably could not create it due to your local file permissions.

Please locate the file called myibay.cfg, delete it and try to start the program again.
Make sure the program is not running at all when you delete the file.

I am not having any luck at all. I have not been able o locate the file (myibay.cfg). I found a program copy dated 2014, which is probably the one I have been using, but every time I try to open it it says it's already running. Task manager does not show it as running. I don't know what to try next. I am not a hacker as you can probably tell...
I am just an appliance operator...What do I try next

You have to search the whole C: drive for myibay.cfg file.

If it says the app is running, the simplest method is to reboot your PC. That will kill the task for sure.

I'm not sure of what I did, but after going over things again and re-booting the 'puter, the program is running and....It still has the items I posted yesterday, and they are all current...I'm still at a loss as to what happened.
Thanks for your patience...
Benny

Could be a simple reboot helped.
Anyway, I'm glad it's back to normal now. Thank you for your follow up and good luck sniping.
