You can type your text, then select it and click an appropriate button (B, i, u) to convert your selection into a new format.

So it means Button Code? What's the extra B? Bay? Basic? Or is it just arbitrary because it sounded cool? Board Button?

Isn't it really just HTML code insertion?

So I thought originally.

Believe it or not, I used this kind of stuff on the Apple II in Apple Writer! I used to be on GEnie BBS and Compuserve before it turned into a monster.

Seems I can't type my own code <font face="serif" color="0000ff">in here, though. </font>

The HTML code is not allowed because of possible abuse. That's why BBC is involved.

Not even strict BBCode (from your reference), like:

<color=red>Then again, </color> (or with brackets) [color=blue]maybe [/color] [color=green]I can.[/color] [size=15]Or can't[/size]

Oh well, I really didn't need it anyway!!!
