Hi,
Item #290430863057 reads as "no shipping" on my Buy page here, but it actually carries a $4.95 shipping charge at eBay.

Unfortunately, the shipping information is done different ways on eBay depending on how seller setup his/her listing so sometimes it's not reliable. For example, if the shipping value is calculated dynamically, it's usually not shown.
You can try Refreshing the item after it was added to the listing to see if it can get the shipping.
Shipping does not affect sniping, but we are constantly working on improving it.

I thought it might be something like that. It wasn't done dynamically, but there must be some other cause.

It works from time to time, depending on how eBay represents this information (also depends on how the seller put it when listing was done) so it's not always precise.
