Both the snipe button within ebay and the direct web access some times take forever or do not even succeed at all.

Sniping itself does work as perfect as usual.

Is there just to much success and interest from too many users by now?

I do not have that trouble to reach other servers - it's just this one here.

That's definitely not a server's issue. Maybe something in the middle with the upper link of your ISP?
If you are still having issues, please do a traceroute to the server and let me know the results so we can check what's wrong in the middle.

It happened for several weeks by now and it's the exception that it does work today, for me.
