I just purchased a key and tried copy/paste the key and retype it from my email, but it still says it is "unregistered." what am I doing wrong. Thanks.

You are probably not entering it correctly or you logged in using a different eBay user id, not the one as you specified when made the purchase.
Please check your Order Confirmation email for the exact instructions.
