Ebay''s customer service offered that they have added the verification requirement when using third-party apps, in a effort to enhance the security of bidders. As others report, I have been experiencing this issue since Sunday night, US-time.

I know many buyers use eBay just because of the snipers. eBay benefits from snipers in the long run.
I still think this is just because of their hacking protection and the sniper triggered it due to its nature to place bids on your behalf.

I have the same issue...I win a item and the next items in my buy/watching are all lost out on due to a required verification code.

Like so many others I have now lost quite a few auctions due to this error. The latest test bid was for item number 371755286373 which returned "My Status: eBay requires verification code". Basically I can no longer use the service. This has been happening for a bout a week now. Is there anything you can do or do I have to just stop using the service?

Understood that we are getting hit with missed bids due to the verification.....

What are we supposed to do about it? Does this mean that mybidder software is no longer functional? Is there something that we as users need to do on the MyBidder or eBay side to reset this?

Yes, Myibidder is not functional due to this.
The changes were pushed on eBay's side. In the past, it was possible to ask eBay to allow your account to use different IP addresses without any restrictions. I'm not sure if it's still possible.
If you have a way to talk to the proper side of eBay and convince them that the sniper is not a hacking tool and so can be whitelisted, that should do it. Not sure if this is easier.
I sent some emails about it to eBay, still waiting for a response.

this after a $525. Loss last night 4 the same thing .!

Other sniping services do not seem to have this problems.

Please try change your sever IP address if possible. Your IP might have been black-listed.

Same here just lost one. Disappointing.

I just lost 5 auctions, all very important, to this problem.
