Please understand this is a serious question and not meant to be a flippant criticism. I've been reading about your program and am trying to understand what advantage there would be to using it as opposed to eBay's proxy bidding. Don't they both do the same thing? Doesn't the proxy system enter up to your maximum up to the last second of the bidding? In other words, what advantages does myibay offer as opposed to the eBay system? I am interested but want to conceptually understand before going to myibay. Thanks for the help/explanation.

I used sometimes myibay plugin for firefox, but it lacks a very important feature, for example, some auctions have $23 of shipping and $5 of winning bid and others $10 winning bid but $10 shipping, then the first auction is 23+5=$28 and the second only $20, is a big difference.

Then if i use the snipe all items at the same time i can put a common max bid value for same selected items, but they have different shipping price as the example that i shown.

It will be interesting to implement a country specific shipping calculator with the navigator localization info and send to ebay site to get the shipping fees.

It looks like my snipe was never placed on item# 300435981924. The auction ended with 0 bids. Either myibay didn't work or the seller ended the listing early. I'm not sure which.

Im just about to try out this product and really like the idea of it.
However, im just wondering...lets see i have found 3 items all identical and i want to only win one of them. Can i set up a snipe on all 3 but have all the snipes cancelled as soon as 1 of them has been won?

I know that a lot of people get frustrated because oftentimes it isn't feasible for Myibay to import shipping costs, usually because the seller is using a variable cost. Until either eBay changes something that allows Myibay to more easily obtain shipping cost information, or the Myibay devs figure out a way around this, why not let "Shipping" be a field that users can manually edit if no shipping cost information is received from eBay? Maybe even alter the color the text of the shipping cost field if the information has been put in manually, or add an asterisk next to the field's value.

I don't know about everyone else, but this would really help me out! Thanks for all the hard work put into this application; it is appreciated.

i have set a few snipes on ebay. does my computer have to be switched on or connected to ebay or myibay for my snipes to take effect? or can i just turn my computer off and myibay will do the rest for me?

I swear there used to be a button on the right-hand side in an ebay listing where you could just click "Snipe This" and open up your Snipe input form. I can no longer find this button. Am I spacing out and just not seeing it or did I hallucinate that that ever existed at all?

When I first tried to use "Snipe These", the myibay results were drastically different from my search results. I was looking at a seller's items (clicked "View items for sale" from seller's feedback page) using "Price + Shipping: lowest first", which was my default sorting. When I clicked "Snipe These", it showed me the "Best Match" search results instead. I had to switch to "Best Match" sorting and then back to "Price + Shipping: lowest first" in order to make myibay see the results with the sorting I wanted.

In short: switch between sorting options if "Snipe These" gives you the wrong sorting the first time.

It works perfectly for me now.

I reinstalled myibay today. I use Firefox. When I used the trial version I would click on the roundel on the auction page in ebay and was able to place a bid. Today the snipe roundel appears in the same place but is inactive. How can I rectify this to enable me to snipe?

Hi mate My login seems to be looping I can log in but every button I click takes me back to the login page again to login, even thew email button. I have the latest Firefox and I am using the web version of Myibay. Even when I snipe it logs me in and when I add it then tries to log me in to the main page of Myibay.

I have used it for a couple of years now and love it but it has never had this before.

Any Ideas????

is fine.

Placed a snipe with a 3 sec window. Got a notification from Ebay that I was high bidder via myibay and via email. But I did not win the auction?? My Snipe was higher than the winning bid.

is there a workaround for this, items when bought using myibay show up as beign brought through ebay us, and not ebay uk, all items ara uk based..

I have on many occasions wished to be able to increase my snipe on multiple items at once. I may do a search on eBay and add 50 or 100 items with snipe it only to see myself outbid on the first 20 or 30 items and realize I bid to low.

I would really like a way to increase bid on multiple items within my list of snipes.
