Today the bidding server was not available for hours.

I'm new so I want to know if this happens more often. I fear the server might not be reliable.

I have tried the mac version in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera all with the same results. Keeps telling me "No eBay search results in your browser." I have tried adding the auction directly on the MyiBay site as well as importing my bidding items and it does not work. Item is located on eBay Germany, auction #250820107219. I have reloaded the plugin and reinstalled on all browsers with no change in results. Help!

Just tested it on eBay US and it works, but there is a problem with eBay Germany!

Hi! Recently i have missed the item. Myibiddeer did not place a bid
Why this is happened?

I used the web interface to place a bid on an item. My bid was twice as high as the winning bid, and the myibidder web interface says "My Status: You are the current high bidder". However, ebay does not show me as the winning bidder! I am pretty sure the website has placed my bids on other items. Did I missunderstand part of the instructions?

Was the problem perhaps that I watched the auction ending in my browser?

I like your Android app very much. Some things I'm missing:

1. Link to the ebay auction. On each snipe item I'd like to have a link to the ebay auction website.

2. current highest bid: I'd like to see the current highest bid on each snipe item. Would be useful to adjust the maximum bid

3. Group bids: I would like to group some snipe items. If one snipe was successful, all other snipes in the same group should be cancelled. That would help to get an article one time that could be found in several auctions.

4. Delete items in watching list.

5. Import one item from watching list (not all)

for this information about the shipping. You are the only one who could answer why I lost as shipping was by Fed Ex and I had a PO box.

Can you tell me how I can find the list of what I have bid on?

I can't seem to edit or remove just keep adding.

I am a long time user of Myibay, but new to this forum, so please forgive me if this has been asked and answer before...
my question is this: if I want to place a bid on an item that is offered in ebay.co.uk, do I have to set ebay country in options->settings to "United Kingdom"? What is the effect of leaving it as "United States" and setting the program to place a bid on an ebay.uk item?

I do have problems to reach www.myibidder.com for some weaks by now.

Both the snipe button within ebay and the direct web access some times take forever or do not even succeed at all.

Sniping itself does work as perfect as usual.

Is there just to much success and interest from too many users by now?

I do not have that trouble to reach other servers - it's just this one here.

did the ebay fees rise everywhere for ebay?

Here in Germany it will change from

Code: Select All


1- 50 EUR: 8%
50-500 EUR: 5%
>500 EUR: 2%

to 9% up to 500 EUR.

These are the numbers for private sellers. Commercial ones have to pay 11% / 8% / 4% or 8% for fixed price.

For UK I see 9.9% up to £50, 5.9% up to £500, 1.9% above (Business: 10%).
For US it's the same 9% as it will be here. (Business: 12% / 6% / 2%)

Silly question, but just for fun (maybe someone asked it before but your search engine did not return anything) :

You have 2 members, member A and member B, bidding on the same item. They both set their max bid at say, 30$, and both are at 5 seconds. How do you set wich one wins? (Naturally, assuming that it's the highest bid).
Will the server make a choice alpahbetically, giving priority to member A? Or is the server old style and gives priority to member B because she's a woman? Or will it give priority to the older member and if so, will it use the actual age of the member or his time as member? Or will it choose the one that was the first to set his snipe? Or will the server toss a coin? And if it does, will it use american or canadian coins? Or if in the end it doesn't matter anymore, as the 5 seconds are over and nobody won!!!
Like I said, just for fun. It's gonna be hard to give a serious answer to that question, won't it?

I have used the snipe for a year or so and really appreciated its simpleness. I was pleasantly surprised with the group, especially once I set the number of wins to "1. "These past two weeks I used the myibidder Group to purchase one item out of a large number. I tried the "Snipe" for the group, but was worried that it would take too long to REMOVE the items that I didn't want to snipe from the list. I'll try it again in the future, read some of your suggestions and instructions, and probably find that that is an easy process that I'll want to use.

My suggestion concerns better identifying auction wins. I found out that I won one of my auctions today via an email message, but didn't see a definitive indication of my win on the Group listing. In looking again, all my auctions are switched to "no," and I can now tell that my win auction is green. If you can change the background color, can you also change the "no" to "WON" to make wins more visible. That would be a lovely consideration.

Thanks for having the skills to set this program up and for offering it to the public. We appreciate it in my home.

what does happen when you select items from a list and remove them via the "-" button?

I got a group which names "57" items. When I open the group, it does show 5 items only.

... but it keeps sniping on articles which I no longer do see.

I feel that the items are no longer visible, but they are still within the system and get sniped.

As a side effect, when I just do click on "Groups", I do end up on the login screen and can't enter the group. But this did work just some minutes ago while I was not yet logged in within the forum.

There are some auctions where they are not shown even after the end of bidding.

Does myibay handle ebay passwords using a (PayPal) Security Key?
