I wanted to use myibay to snipe an item, however, even though my bid would have been higher than anybody else, the bid was not placed and I therefore did not win the auction. In myibay everything looked fine and my bid is still listed (even though it did not work).

What went wrong?

If I place a snipe for 1 minute before the end of an item that has a choice of only 1) buy it now and 2) make an offer.
Would the snipe make an offer at the last minute and then I could wait for a response or does it just do nothing?

How would I troubleshoot two missed bids? The first was 2 items That I wanted to win one of, one of the items received no bids at all when ending so my bid was not places. The second item my bid was also not placeds although my bid was more than $5 greater than the winning bid. How do I troubleshoot this so I know the bidder is working at all?

I changed by eBay password since Chrome would not accept my Firefox password for eBay.

How do I change the password on myiboy (myibidder)?

Does anyone know the file name and path for the file containing myibay bid information (eBay auction id, my maximum bid etc.)? I didn't see this info in the FAQ section and was unsuccessful finding it by searching the forums.

My hard drive is about to die and I'd like to make a copy before it does.

Hey,I bid in such a way that I don't want to snipe certain acutions, I just want to bid a small amount (say 25 cents) on each item in a list of 200 items. takes FOREVER to do by hand, but I want all the bids to go in right now, regardless of when the auction ends. Is there a way to do that with my ibidder? I know that I can snipe a list of auctions with the chrome plugin (very useful) but is there a way to have it bid right now?

I was wondering if there is anyway to upload a list of auctions (within groups), for sniping.

it will make the management of auction sniping much easier for buyers (small-medium size).

The STARTING BID on an ebay auction is say $14.99

Myibay calls it the CURRENT BID, and it when I snipe it says MINIMUM BID VALUE is $15.49

I want to bid only the STARTING BID. Can I put the lower $14.99 and the program will snipe?

I keep gettinig fake bid emails syaing I am winning bids I know nothing about - usually model cars/ trains.

How can I stop this and why is it happening>

Apparently running this software does not prevent computer from entering the sleep mode. My system is running under win7 OS. I looked for any pertinent features under myibay settings, and ticked the "connection keep alive" option. That did not help.
Is this a normal behavior for this program. Is the user expected to manually deactivate the computer power saving features?

I'm sure this is probably a stupid question, but I hope you can answer me anyway.

If, for example, I place a high bid on Ebay in the amount of $20.00 on an item, but place a high bid in Myibidder on that same item in the amount of $25.00, what will happen if, for instance, someone outbids my Ebay $20.00 high bid? Will the item still snipe at up to $25.00 at the time I have specified? (And, assuming someone else has not bid up to my high on Myibidder of $25, will I therefore win the item if the snipe is placed at my specified time?)

I placed here some snipes on a Seller (gandalf_1952) I transacted before. And I have no existing cases.

After the bids on (110810350442) and (40027067640 ended, myibidder remarked 2 Status I hadn't encountered before.
1st style: My Status: Your PayPal account is not linked to your eBay account
2nd style: My Status: Seller's requirements not met

After these bids, I was still able to snipe on other sellers and won.

Hello. The Snipe These tab for the Firefox add-on has stopped working for me around 2 days ago.

When I click on the Snipe These Tab I get a jumbled mix of the seller's return policy for each item and not the proper description; I can't add the items to my snipe list because of this. Please see the following picture to see what I mean...

I use Myibidder 1.2.4 and Firefox 9.0.1. Any advice on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Updated PC. Re-installed myibay, then updated.
Placed a bid on an item but programme did not place this bid, so I therefore lost the item.
When clicking on the "Update watch list" am advised that I do not have any items in my watch list, but guess what, I have twelve registered on eBay.
Any advice would be apprecited.

The default is 5 seconds, but with Internet lag and.such what is a reasonable time to enter here to ensure that the bid gets entered?

Okay, I'm thoroughly irritated by this, I've had a few issues before, but luckily got the items afterwards, but now, I really wanted one of the items I put in a snipe bid on, and the thing didn't even bid!!! So, now I have lost something I haven't got a hope in hell's chance of finding again in the UK!!! I might as well have just done the work myself...

First one was this, with a snipe of £5.96:
