This has happened to me before so I stopped using Myibidder. Tried it again and alas lost the auction even though I was by was the highest bidder.

The winning bid was £84.00 and my snipe was for £91.66. What gives? Granted I set the snip to 4 seconds but surely you should remove the option if the program can not cope with it.

I can only assume slow servers on your side or biased snipping to others.

myibidder didn't bid - my bid was higher than final selling price! Mon May 07, 2012 03:20 AM Quote

Hey,

Would really be thankful if anyone could help me with this.
I placed a maximum bid on several pairs of shorts- my max bid was £5.51. As they were both only at 99p I pretty much thought they were a sure thing.

myibidder did not bid! The auction ended at the scheduled time and I wasn't outbid-I can't work out why it didn't bid.

The number for one of the shorts is: 120905275064 and the other is: 120905275052 - my max bid was 5.51 for both....they both sold at 99p!

Would really appreciate some help. I use myibidder quite a lot and really hope it still works!

has anything been implemented to have ebay live, so you can watch the bids in real time.

that would be great!

Hi, just purchased and installed app, but it won't log on. Using correct details it responds with "logon or password incorrect". Other eBay apps work fine with same details.

Hope someone can help or I will have to get a refund!

Tried the free version it does the same.

Cheers,
Si.

When the app actually snipes something, does it bid at the lowest possible price, or does it bid the limit I set?
Thanx

Suggestinos to improve myibidder Mon May 21, 2012 07:36 AM Quote

Hi,

I have two small suggestions for an improvement of myibidder.

I really like this tool and use it often. It saves me time, since I don't have to sit on my computer to bid on several auctions. But there are two little things which would even yet improve it.

1.) if you bid on two auctions which are in the same group with maximum won items 1 and the auctions end just some seconds after each other, myibidder probably will bid on both of the auctions even if the first bit already won an item. It seems that the second bid goes out no matter if the status of the first bit is already "synchronized" or not.
E.g. over my account I won two items of "Samsung Galaxy W" but intended only to win one. The two auctions were just ending 6 seconds apart from each other. I knew that and set the snipe interval of the second bid just to 2 seconds, but it won anyway!
So it seems that the success of the first bid was not recognized by myibidder before the bid for the second item went out and this is not quite optimal.
I would suggest you two small changes for that:
first: display a warning when the user enters a bid for a group in which there is already an item which ends near the newly added item (probably the snipe interval has to be considered here and the number of items to win for the group).
second: change the sniper logic so it doesn't place a bid for an item in a group for which only x items are left to win and there are = x open bids placed by sniper for items in this group which are not synchronized yet (note: this logic would work independend of the snip interval the user chose)! The benefit for the user in contrast to not accepting the bid at all would be, that with this logic the user would know that the second bid is placed if the first bid was not placed (e.g. because the items price was already higher etc).

More complex but even more usefull would be a logic which defers the bid until the status of the "open" bid is known.

2.) My second point is, that you probably use www.ebay.com by default. Is it already possible to set up the country specific site of eBay? if not it would be really great if you could make the eBay start page configurable, so it would be possible to snipe over the users ebay-page. In my case it seems that if I buy something over myibidder and have some problems with the item, I have to clarify that over the us-website and thats very inconvinient, since everything is in english and probably also the legal situation is different if I buy over the us-website instead of the german.

Kind Regards & keep on the great work

Jürgen

Hi. Great program, never had an issue before.

I added three items to my buy list earlier today. When I've tried to add a fourth item (both within the same group, and in no group) the page appears to refresh, but the item is not added to the buy list. It also doesn't show up within the group.

How does myibidder handle "Reserve" auctions? It didn't seem to place my highest bid. Thu May 24, 2012 10:54 PM Quote

Hi. Here's a question about Item # 400297790314.

I set my snipe at over $6000 at 6 seconds. Ebay says I was the highest bidder at $2250. I don't know what the reserve price was set at. (Is there a way for me to know?)

In the case of auctions which have a low "start" price and a high "reserve" price, is more time needed for the myibidder to reach the highest snipe bid? Or, was there some other problem?

Thank you for your excellent support!

My myibidder web based software no longer functions properly. I can not change the bid price already existing for an ebay item. It wrongly gives me an error message that a new item number is incorrect. I sent my confirmation email that I purchased your software with the key Monday, December 12, 2011

hello,

my problem seems to be simple. I bought mybidder via paypal, but the registry-key us now based on my paypal-ID, which is of course not the same as my ebay-ID. Due to that mix-up my key is obviously not working properly.

What can I do now?

Thank you in advance for any kind of help.

Lance

I just lost an item on which I had a max bid of $120. The winning bid by someone else was also $120. The status report says that I was outbid. I entered the max bid an hour or so before the deadline. Please explain what might of gone wrong. Thank you.
