I am interested in using this app because I can't rely on my mobile connection for a last minute bid. Does the app use my connection at the time when it bids or does it set up a bidsnipe that is carried out from elsewhere? I hope my question makes sense.
Thank you

Program Start-up Issue | Wed Sep 11, 2013 02:35 AM

I'm having issues trying to get the program started.
It's done it before, so I simply restart my system.
This time, when clicking the icon to start the program, I can see it try to start in my program manager, then it automatically shuts down & disappears from the program manager listing.
What can I do to repair the program?

What will happen if I set a snipe and the 30 day trial period runs out just before the auction ends? Will it snipe for one last time or will it not work due to end of trial period. Thanks
Also. Is the current bid shown an item in myibay my current bid or the current bid on the item in eBay. I have noticed that the bid amount changed on eBay but not on myibay.

Will the snipe happen if the device is sleeping or off? Just wondering because I do not know if the sniper timers are on a server or not.

I have been using myibay desktop software for several years without any trouble. Recently, however, when I have set myibay to snipe several DVDs on eBay, it doesn't work. I receive an automated e-mail from myibay, as usual, stating that a bid was attempted for the items, but the bid was unsuccessful (no dollar amount is placed for the items). The software appears to load properly on my computer and appears "Online" with my eBay account. The individual item snipes are listed as "Active" before their respective auctions. What's wrong? Please reply to Thank you.

I'm attempting to login with my Ebay id/password but I receive no response other than iBidder refreshes the login page. This has happened before but I don't remember what the resolution was. Could it be a slow wifi connection? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
This is the first time I am using a program of this type so bear with me.
User ID: swr6226
ebay item#: 171132199251
I have installed and am running the program with no error messages except for #533. After research here I find it does not matter.
There was 1 bid of $50.00 from another bidder. I filled out the snipe dialog to show my max bid at $126.06, clicked the check box to activate the snipe (added a notification emal address in settings) and see no sort of change in the bidding.
This morning I check again and find another bid upto $66.00 and mybidder shows the updated change but nothing from me.
Am I using the program correctly or does my bid come in at the last 5 seconds of the auction?
By the way, I have checked my account at ebay and it shows that I am linked to PayPal.
Steven

I've been using Myibidder for years now and it's a fantastic tool which I'd struggle without.
The problem I find, over and over and over, which is extremely annoying, is that my eBay account is forever being temporarily suspended.
My initial password on eBay began with 01 and every time I get blocked, I'm asked to change my password and so now it ends with 56!
The reason I am getting suspended all of the time is because eBay don't recognize my computer and that's because myibidder are placing the bid on my behalf - from who knows where.
eBay have told me that I can give them another location (I'm assuming IP address) so that this problem doesn't continue.
Does anyone have a solution for me?
I'd be much obliged.
Regards

Did not win bid when I had a high amount than winning bid. | Sat Sep 28, 2013 05:34 PM

The bid finished at 28-Sep-13 16:34:52 BST, the winning bid went in at 28-Sep-13 16:34:35 BST, I had set a much higher amount than the winning bid for the recommended 6 secs before yet no bid was made for me.
It was item 221286629172 in my account, what happened have used your software before and it worked fine. What went wrong this time, should it be set to more seconds.

I've used this program for several years now, but recently I've lost 4 bids for items that sold way below my snipe bid. Two I deleted thinking maybe I didn't check "enable" so I made sure the box was checked the next time I placed bids via the program. I've lost 2 more since! It's frustrating! Item numbers: 111174130270 and 111173441863
HELP!

Hello,
I am not sure I understand how the "bid time" works.
I see in you FAQ that you recommend 6-10 seconds yet I have read here on the forum some using 1-4 seconds.
Would I be assuming that the bid time is when the bid is placed? If that is true what about if someone bids higher with their snipe?
I understand the purpose of the "maximum bid" but not how it ties into the last seconds of the auction.
Sorry to be asking such a basic question here but I am very new to this.
Regards,
Steven

Hi,
4 days ago I bid on an item & won but myibidder keeps entering bids on the same item & keeps winning.I have to keep emailing the people & ebay for "transaction cancellation".I've already unchecked everything which didn't help.I even removed it from foxfire & that didn't matter either...it still keeps bidding & winning. How do I stop it???

Maximum bid - is it the only bid? | Fri Oct 11, 2013 11:28 PM

You bid for me on eBay and I set a high upper limit which I believe was the only bid you entered.
The instructions you give are ambiguous in section (2) and I am confused I.e. "it will snipe the exact price you set" and "you will win at the lowest possible price" Which is true.
Does it enter only one bid and that is the maximum you set.
OR
does it look at the other bids and at the last second calculate what bid within your set range and below or at your maximum is necessary to bid for you to win?
Thnks for your answer.

I had been looking for snipe software for awhile now finally settling on my bidder.
About a week ago I found a camera that I really wanted having used one for a short time in 1968 and never forgot it. I set up my snipe quickly, easily, and intuitively with the maximum bid I felt that I could afford with a 5 second time. When the final minute came I resisted the temptation to up my max. bid and the next thing I knew I had won the auction for much less then my max bid!
I received my camera on Friday and it is everything that I had read and hoped for.
I sent in a few questions to the forum before the auction was done and received prompt and courteous replies in each case even though my questions may have seemed simplistic because I was not experienced with snipe programs.
I want to thank you for not just a great program but for fulfilling all that your website claims about the program and it's support.

Hello.. I have only used your site for about 2+ weeks and so far it has worked perfectly as far as snipes go BUT.. for some reason it will not update both #of bids and last bid dollar amount.. If I refresh the total site it will do most but takes a long time.. So far I have won well over 90% of items I snipe so way better than other snipe programs I have used in the past.. I will be purchasing if I can work our this update of Bids.. Thank you
