I've been using Myibay for quite some time but today, when about to snipe, I realized there was no icon...? Is there an issue with firefox or ebay or what is the reason?

When doing the login thru co.uk I get the icon (on uk stuff) but not on the US site.

If I enter a maximum bid of $50 on myibay is my bid on ebay incremented by the minimum amount needed or will I pay $50 no matter what if I win?
An example would be;
- Someone on ebay has currently bid an item to $30 and there max bid is 30.
- On myibay I enter a max bid of $50
- If no other bids come in except mine, will I win the bid at $32.50 or $50?

About month ago i buy license and win some auctions ander my main account. But also i have brothers account from USA - i make some bids when he is busy. Day ago i turn sniper to item 110450495188 and maximum bid 1160 USD - but sniper not bidding, as before and i lost this item, it has maximum bid 990 USD. So what is wrong i made? How to use myibay under two eBay accounts - or this will work only under name, that was myebay registered to?

I notice the default is 6 seconds. Is there any advantage or
problems if I try 5 seconds?

Placed a bid via snipe about six hours before it was to end. I've used this add-on very successfully in the past and have had nothing but praise for it until today! After the auction ended I checked my snipe and all info was there but for some reason the program failed to initiate a bid. I have the latest updates so can't attribute the malfunction to that. Like some others have mentioned in your forum I'm disappointed because the set I was looking for rarely comes along at such a reasonable amount (I was over the "winning" bid). So what's up w/that? I've lost a little confidence because of this failure and would really like to understand what happened so as not to have a repeat event. Thanks.

here are some questions where I'd like to ask for an update:

A) "reload" does not update status overview

I observed recently that a reload of the Auction Manager (overview) does not update the content. I do have to press the (update status) button for a real update. However, this refresh does not update the current bid which usually remains at the same height when I placed the snipe. Only after bit or end of auction it will show the final result.

B) today I observed once again that the snipe options where not added to an auction (#260507072344). I then tried to add it manually within the overview. The "My Bid" column still shows "no", although I placed the bid. When I follow the link (which I have to fix, see C), I now do see the snipe options. When I open the snipe, it does show the bid I placed.

But my overview still lacks the bid!?

Was it a temporary unavailability of myibay that I did not see the snipe options within ebay directly?

C) I do use ebay.de instead of ebay.com. Some time ago I asked to store and use the toplevel domain for the bids. Currently most of my auctions are listed on ebay.de only. When I follow the overview link, ebay.com tells me that this auction is not available.

Maybe you can see the auction. I can't (Linux Firefox 2.0, Mac Firefox 3.6), but maybe it does depend on IP or browser. But bidding always seems to work!

Thus most of the times I do have to re-edit the overview URL, replacing com by de.

Do you have any idea when this improvement might be added to keep the original toplevel domain com/de/xy?

I created a group and placed similar items in the group. I indicated I want to win 2 items but I see no place to indicate the same price for all the items included in the group. Must I manually put a individual price on each item for my snipe to work and win 2 auctions or can I place it once to cover all items?

I'm confused.

Then is their any way to check that there is actual activity, that the program is actively watching and placing bids when possible, like a group properties option? I want to know that this actually works before I purchase your software.

how do I cancel a snipe before the item ends.

Firefox Add-on. Firefox 3.5.5. When I go to page where I logged a snipe, I get error message below. Doesn't seem to cause any problems. I did my first snipe last night and it worked like a charm. Thanks.

I've already read a lot of ppl with missed snipes and I'm sorry to ask this again, but I can't seem to figure out how to check my 'status' (I'm using the FF add-on)

I've missed 3 snipes yesterday (200408134789, 200408143254 and 180434864675) while the day before it was working just fine.

is it possible to check why with the FF add-on??

Hi, I am a new user. Sorry if my questions have been covered (though I checked and seen nothing). But here it goes:

How does myibay overcome eBay's automatic bid increase system?

E.g., 6 seconds before bid closes, and the current bid is $5. That bidder has put in a max bid of $10, which is unknown to other bidders. I plan to snipe it with my max bid of $12. If myibay snipes in a bid of $5.50, ebay will automatically increase the competing bid to $6. Will myibay snipe in another bid, and is there still time for it? If not, do I then lose the bid even if my max bid is higher than the competitor's?

This is a small thing, but having to click the auction I want to delete and then hit the delete icon really bugs me. I think it would be good for ease-of-use if clicking an auction and then hitting the delete key had the same effect.

I have seen the other topics that say the bid price needs to be real-time. I completely agree with you that this would not be a good thing. Anyone who has refreshed multiple items at once should know how long it takes to refresh. Doing it constantly would bog down the system and create unnecessary traffic. I do, however, believe that the bidding price should be refreshed after the auction ends. I like to know whether or not I won the auctions without having to click the refresh button. The first time I used your program, after the auction ended the bidding price was much lower than my max price, and I thought I won. I went to ebay to pay and it said i lost. I refreshed the auction on myibay and realized then that it's not automatic. Refreshing on auction end would not create unnecessary load. After all, people are most likely going to refresh after the auction ends anyways to see if they won.

I don`t know if you have this function, but will be great to bind on same type of items (ex. SD card), and if you won the first one then cancel the bind on the follow one`s. Of course this will be like option.

how do you know what the bidding incriments are?

I recently changed my internet provider and since then I am unable to access the page myibay.com and to use the Firefox plugin. Nevertheless, I can connect to myibay.com using a proxy site like tunneldirect.com.
Do you have any suggestion why it would be blocked or how I could avoid it. Perhaps it is only a problem of the new router. The provider is ono.es in Spain

Maybe you can help me telling me why I lost my bid? I started bidding old fashion way 3 min before it ended, and this guy kept outbidding me right away. Just a second after I bid his bid was there higher than mind. Then, I decided used myibay but I still did not win.How come he outbid me for .9 cents

Today I installed latest available for download 30 days evaluation version on Windows 7.

I was able to start up software and enter bid
I was not able to change my maximum bid later
I was not able to create groups
The same downloaded software was installed on Windows vista and it works
